A 65-room Tudor Revival manor on 70 acres in Akron. National Historic Landmark. The most-searched wedding venue in Northeast Ohio — and 15 minutes from our Copley studio.

“A National Historic Landmark built in 1912 — and the Carriage House morning light is still one of the best we work in.”
Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is the most recognized wedding venue in Northeast Ohio — and the recognition is earned. Built between 1912 and 1915 by F.A. Seiberling, co-founder of Goodyear Tire, the 65-room Tudor Revival manor sits on 70 acres of formal English gardens and sculpted grounds in Akron. "Stan Hywet" means stone quarry in Old English, a nod to the limestone quarried from the land itself. The estate is a National Historic Landmark and one of the largest private homes in the country.
Weddings at Stan Hywet can accommodate up to 175 guests in the Manor Hall, with outdoor tented receptions pushing that number past 200. Ceremony options include the English Garden, the Great Gatehouse, and the Manor House grounds — each with a completely different character and visual weight. There is no single "Stan Hywet look." There are several.
For getting ready, the upper level of the Carriage House serves as the bridal suite — historically detailed, quietly charming, and flooded with south- and east-facing morning window light that produces some of the best natural-light prep photography we've worked in. This is a venue where your morning photos are as good as your ceremony photos.
Stan Hywet is 15 minutes from our Copley studio — one of our closest venues. We've been here. Here's exactly what you need to know about the morning logistics, the light, and what tends to go sideways when a team isn't prepared.

Tell us your date, your party size, and which spaces you've booked at the estate. We'll come back with a clear plan, a realistic timeline, and pricing that accounts for every detail of a Stan Hywet morning.
